St Louis Newborn Photography | Samuel, 6 days new

Sweet Samuel was 6 days new at his newborn photo session a couple weeks ago. We decided to do his session in his home so that his big sisters could help out. Oh Boy what wonderful big sisters they are, and super creative too. Please note the stuffed chicken daddy is holding in one of the images. That was planned by Samuel's three year old sister. ;)

Samuel's nursery theme includes bears, so of course I had to bring an adorable bear hat that is featured in the first photo of this post. I have a handful of adorable animal hats, but I think the bears are by far my favorite. And I have to admit that Daddy and baby photos are some of my favorite. Check out the last image of this set and tell me that it doesn't just melt your heart. ;) It was a rainy and super cloudy day so it made for very interesting light, which I think worked well for us.

I'm now booking newborn sessions through the end of the year!
Get your due date on the calendar now, currently booking baby sessions into 2016. ;) It is ideal to book your newborn session before baby arrives. Once baby is born I try to get the session in before they are 14 days old. This helps to ensure that they are sleepy. Plus those tiny little features change so quickly. My newborn sessions can be done in your home or in my natural light studio in Maplewood, MO (suburb of St Louis, Missouri). So book your session today:

This family is just so much fun to photograph. I have been photographing Sweet Addison since the day she was born. I'm excited for her 6 month photo session, that will be coming up here in just a few weeks. And how awesome is her big sister. EEK! I smile everytime I see these faces.

Oh the winter has been terrible this year! I have spent the last couple months in the warm studio with some amazing clients. But enough is enough and I want to get back outside. Miss Ellie is ready too. So we did a pre Spring cheer to usher in some better weather!

This weekend I met the sweetest, sleepiest  newborn baby ever! Her family was a delight to work with. Good luck to this adorable family and Congratulations again.

Saint Louis Family Photography | Tower Grove Park | Winter Photos

So the curse of the shoemakers children applies to a photographers family. I can honestly say we have never had proper family photos taken. Shame on me. I should have arranged a trade like this long ago. 

This Sunday I met Amanda of Elegant Illusions Photogaphy to photograph her family, for my end of the trade. They are simple beautiful, as was the location with a fresh layer of snow! Amanda's family braved the elements and we had a very successful shoot. So happy that I was able to meet them and I can't wait for Amanda to take our photos in a couple weeks!
